Christine Saffell studied Medical Anthropology at the University of Utah. She worked in Italian microfilmed vital records (birth, marriage, and death) and military records since 2007. Since 2013, she also worked in on-site Italian vital and military records in town, provincial, and church archives as well as in museums and cemeteries.
She specialized in World War I documentation using cemeteries, battle sites, and civil and military records. She did her professional research online, also at the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City, and also traveled to find the resources available in many locations including Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States. Her research notes and references are now the Christine Saffell Collection at the Fort Douglas Museum in Salt Lake City, growing as we finish sorting everything out.
See her Travel Photos for locations and dates of her Adventuring Genealogist experiences.
